Given that human activities has brought many of the environmental problems today, efforts to mitigate climate change and shift to sustainability is now strongly supported, and the emerging interest of advancing green growth though culture and the arts. As cultural and artistic activities can be central to environmental attitudes and behaviors, cultural heritage and the arts could address the practical challenges of environmental sustainability.

This approach is what the event “Kalikasan GP3 Expo Conference 2015” will highlight this coming July 23-25, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center, SM Aura Premier, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila. Its main organizer, the National Ecolabelling Programme-Green choice Philippines through its Administrator, the Philippine Center for Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development Inc. Dubbed as the biggest public-private event partnership for the promotion of the environment, culture and the arts, the event aims to install environmental awareness utilizing 1) the promotion of green tourism in advancing cultural heritage preservation and 2) the conduct of artistic competitions like the Green Technology Contest, Photography Contest and Culinary Olympics to promote eco- inventions, green consumerism and local sourcing.

The event will have the unique fusion of environment and culture in one occasion as it will also highlight the conduct of these main events: three (3) conference tracks on Green Business and Green Consumerism, Green Tourism and Sustainable Construction and the innovative Kalikasan, Kultura at Kalakalan (KKK) Expo, a showcase of state of the art green technologies, eco-products, regional tourism initiatives and company social and sustainability programs.
