Dayaw Philippines Indigenous Peoples Festival 2015 came to a close last month in the culinary capital of the Philippines, Pampanga.
The festival held last October 15-17 is NCCA’s celebration of Indigenous Peoples Month pursuant to Proclamation 1906 which was signed by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in 2009. Dayaw showcased the different indigenous groups of the country through performances, rituals, forums, traditional cuisine demos, traditional games, arts and crafts exhibit and cultural exchanges among others in various venues in Pampanga.
