The Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia invites participants for the the forthcoming Asian African Carnival 2016 to be held in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia on August 14, 2016.
The carnival will be held in celebration of Asian African Conference under the theme, The Birds of the World, as the expression of Asian African Solidarity. The project aims to promote economic and cultural cooperation and to oppose colonialism or neo-colonialism by any nation. The festival will feature collaborators from across the Indonesian archipelago, such as travel booths, crafts exhibition, fashion shows, culinary workshops/demo and performances by performing art groups in Indonesia, and Asian and African participating countries.
Participating countries are requested to send a maximum of eleven (11) delegates. Delegates should showcase the characteristics of their country and bring its own carnival costume. Street dance contingents from various LGUs may want to apply for participation.
While the organizers are expected to cover for the meals, accommodation and local transportation, the participating contingents will shoulder their travel expenses.
