The NCCA presents a weekend filled with Original Pilipino Music with events in Pampanga, Cebu and Pasay City to celebrate the “Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino.”
The last week of August of every year is Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino by virtue of Proclamation 933 s. 2014 signed by President Benigno Aquino III. In line with the celebration the NCCA in partnership with the Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit will hold a series of free shows for the public. Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino sa Angeles City happens on July 29 at 3 PM at the MarQuee Mall in Angeles City Pampanga.
For those in Cebu, Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino: The Pinoy Music Festival will be at the SM Seaside City Cebu on July 30. The show featuring Joey Ayala and other artists starts at 1 PM. Those in Metro Manila can head to the Music Hall of the SM Mall of Asia on July 30 for the Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino sa MOA featuring Aiza Seguerra, Liza Diño-Seguerra, Himig Malaya, Kontra Gapi, Halili-Cruz Dance Company and Aldeza Dela Torre.
