The inauguration of Sentro Rizal Guam in Agana marks the 21st SR branch opening after NCCA launched SR Cairo, the 20th SR and the first SR branch in the African region.

Chairman Felipe M. De Leon of NCCA is set to inaugurate Sentro Rizal in Agana, Guam on October 11, 2016.

Joining Chairman de Leon in the inauguration will be Consul General Marciano de Borja of the Philippine Consulate in Guam along with other guests and dignitaries.

A ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Philippine Consulate General and the NCCA on arts and culture promotion through the establishment of the Sentro Rizal Agana will ensue.

Chairman De Leon will also conduct a lecture on Strengthening the Philippine-Guamanian Relations Through Cultural Understanding at the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences of the University of Guam on October 12, 2016.

Sentro Rizal seeks to promote Philippines arts, culture and language to countries with a significant number of Filipino migrants who wish to reconnect to their Filipino roots. SR offers programs such as workshops and language trainings as well as provision of publications, virtual and printed resource materials on Philippine arts and culture.
