Piyestang Luzon aims to organize a cultural festival that highlights the facets of Luzon culture through the many festivals celebrated throughout the island cluster.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Arte Bulakenyo Foundation, Inc. opens PIYESTANG LUZON 2016 at the Marquee Mall and the Angeles City Library and Information Centre on November 18 and 19 2016

Piyestang Luzon aims to organize a cultural festival that highlights the facets of Luzon culture through the many festivals celebrated throughout the island cluster. Among the Luzon fiestas to be featured are the Horse festival of Angeles, Thanksgiving Festival of Apayao, Panagbenga of Baguio, Bangus Festival of Dagupan City, Dayami Festival of Nueva Ecija, Mango Festival of Zambales, Dulansangan of Malolos, Ammungan of Nueva Vizcaya, Pahiyas of Lucban, Higantes of Angono, and Kneeling Carabao festival of Pulilan Bulacan.

Aside from the featured piyestas, a fashion show dubbed “Rampa Luzon” will showcase the colourful and artistic attires native to Luzon.     

Piyestang Luzon also seeks to raise cultural awareness and cultural sensitivity, as well as the promotion of Luzon culture and arts through festivals, forums and other mediums.

The second day will include lectures on the traditional justice system, demo on traditional healing practices, culinary of Luzon, and indigenous games.
