In celebration of National Heritage Month, the Pangalay ng Bayan – Celebrating Women through Dance featuring the Alun Alun Dance Circle and choreography by  Dr. Ligaya Amilbangsa was held last May 9, 2017, at the Robinson’s Place Manila.

Pangalay is a Sanskrit term for “temple of dance”. It is pre-Islamic and pre-Christian dance style in the Philippines and continues to be a part of community life in the Sulu Archipelago.
