Our rich musical heritage was showcased at the opening of the Philippine Traditional Musical Instruments Exhibit at the Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City on May 10, 2017. The event was in conjunction with the celebration of the National Heritage Month with the theme “Malasakit Para Sa Pamana“.
The program gave due recognition to the contributions of National Artists – Dr. Ramon P. Santos and Lucrecia R. Kasilag – to Philippine Music through an exhibit of their collection of traditional musical instruments and a sample of some of the musical masterpieces they composed by the PWU JASMS Rondalla.
The exhibit was made possible through Filipino Heritage Festival Inc., the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, the Ayala Malls and other partners.
