The  27th Annual Manila Studies Conference will be held at the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) – Quezon City Campus on September 12-14, 2018.

The Manila Studies Association, Inc. invites educators, scholars and interested participants to the 27th Annual Manila Studies Conference which will be held at the new venue – Seminar Rooms A and B, Technological Institute of the Philippines, 938 Aurora Boulevard, Cubao, Quezon City – on September 12-14, 2018.  The original venue has been moved to the TIP Quezon City campus to make way for the ABET accreditation in TIP Manila.  

The conference, which is co-sponsored by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the Technological Institute of the Philippines, will present various research and studies on the different aspects of Manila and its districts, including topics on archaeology, history, culture, architecture, film, and the arts. 

The conference will continue the MSA tradition of disseminating studies on the city and the metropolis since the First Annual Manila Studies Conference began in 1989.  The papers will be presented by recognized scholars as well as young academics in their respective fields of research and expertise.   The conference envisions to be a forum and platform where intellectual discussion can transpire and elicit further studies and inquiry.  The papers should provide rich and useful research and teaching materials for teachers and students.   The conference consists of three days of paper presentations, workshop, and educational tour to the Museum of Natural History. 

The conference fee is ₱2,500.00 which includes kit, certificate, and meals (snacks and lunch) for the first two days of the conference.  The third day will include an educational tour with morning snacks.  For cheque payments, please endorse it to The Manila Studies Association Inc.  Registration will be on site.
