Myanmar History from Myanmar Perspectives Programme will run for seven-days from 20 to 26 November 2018.

There have been different perspectives and interpretations of Myanmar history since it was viewed by different people. The perspectives and interpretations of Myanmar scholars, however, are not too well known because Myanmar scholars publish mostly in Myanmar language.

As a Regional Centre for History and Tradition, SEAMEO CHAT has a role in putting together a picture of Myanmar’s past, its developments and its mosaic of cultures and traditions.

Myanmar History from Myanmar Perspectives Programme has been conducted by SEAMEO CHAT annually since 2002. For this year 2018, the lectures topics of the programme have been slightly changed in order to give chances for the participants to have wider knowledge on history, culture, and tradition of Myanmar’s past and present.  Myanmar History and Myanmar Perspectives Programme is a perfect package which comprises the different perspectives of the present community of scholars in the country.
