The National Commission for Culture and the Arts has officially received the ISO 9001:2015 Certification for the Administration of NEFCA-Supported Competitive Grants.
Leading the turn-over ceremony held today at the NCCA Leandro Locsin Auditorium are representatives from SGS Philippines led by Director Roger Villanueva of the Certification and Business Enhancement Division. Receiving for NCCA are NCCA Chairman and National Artist Virgilio S. Almario together with the Management Committee led by Executive Director Rico S. Pableo Jr., and Deputy Executive Director and Quality Management Representative Marichu G. Tellano.
In his speech, National Artist Almario highlighted the importance of punctuality and consistency in government service especially in the culture and arts sector, posing a challenge to the members of the Secretariat present to continuously work towards these two values.
SGS Philippines Director Villanueva also affirmed the partnership built together with the NCCA in ensuring quality service for the primary clients of the Commission — the artists and cultural workers of the nation.
Also present during the ceremonies are representatives from the Development Academy of the Philipines led by PDC-Advocacy and Institutional Development Office Director Evangeline Macariola who helped in the initial journey of the Commission towards its ISO Certification.
