The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in cooperation with the Spanish Embassy in Manila, and Instituto Cervantes de Manila banner the Posporos 2019 Concert on April 27, 2019 at the Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati City featuring Flipino and Spanish bands The Late Isabel and Vulk.
The NCCA, Spanish Embassy in Manila, and Instituto Cervantes de Manila spearhead Posporos to boost cultural ties between Philippines and Spain through music and exchange activities between the two countries.
This Philippine-Spanish musical concert serves as the finale for this year’s Posporos, which is preceded by a series of activities such as the Posporos Sirkulo, a roundtable discussion on the Philippine music industry held on April 22, 2019 at the Teatro, Fort Santiago and the Posporos Residency Program held from April 23 to 25, 2019 at the Bangkong Kahoy, Quezon.
Posporos’ culminating activity will feature The Late Isabel, a Filipino art rock band; and Vulk, a Basque punk band from Bilbao, Spain.
The Philippine-Spanish music project Posporos was launched in 2016 has already showcased indie music talents from both countries, giving them the opportunity to experience each other’s music. It has already featured 18 Spanish and Filipino music bands, 6 DJs, and 9 different venues across Manila.
This activity is implemented under the ambit of the Philippine-Spanish bilateral agreement for cultural cooperation.
