FOR PUBLIC REVIEW: The Enforcement Section of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts’ Cultural Properties Protection and Regulation Division drafted the Guidelines on Archaeological Impact Assessment (AIA) in the Philippines, Requiring its Conduct in Infrastructure or Architectural Development Projects or Earth-moving Activities, and Providing Incentives for Reporting the Discovery of New Archaeological Sites, to provide guidance and direction for the public, setting the minimum standards in the conduct and submission of AIA reports, requiring the same for projects affecting newly discovered, declared, known or recognized archaeological sites in the Philippines, and encourage individuals who discovered archaeological sites to report the same to this Commission. 

In view of thereof and in the spirit of participatory policy formulation and development, the Enforcement Section encourages archaeologists, developers, heritage workers, advocates, colleagues in government service, and the general public to review the draft Guidelines and send their comments and recommendations.
