We are now accepting nominations for the NCCA SUDI National Music Awards. The deadline for submission is on December 31, 2023 (Sunday).
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) SUDI Awards is a National Music award that aims to recognize outstanding contributions of Filipino musical works, creators, institutions, and researchers across genres and modes of productions with the highest standard and artistic excellence. For the year 2020, its launch year, the twenty (20) most outstanding musical achievements (whether artist, musical piece, journal, cultural worker, or institution, but not limited to) that defined the past decades were given recognition. In the succeeding years, excellent and significant musical contributions shall be held triennially but recognized annually. For this installment, awardees from the years 2021, 2022, and 2023 will be recognized. Eligibility The award is for all Filipino Composers or songwriters; Performing entity/groups; Researchers/writers and other music projects; and music compositions/works, except to the officers and members of the NCCA Secretariat, the incumbent Executive Council (ExeCon) Members of the NCCA Committee on Music (NCM), and the current Technical Working Group for the SUDI Awards. |

- Institutions and Organizations
- No self nomination
Who to nominate?
- Filipino citizens at the time of nomination, as well as those who died after the year they are being nominated.
- Those who had a definite contribution to the music landscape of that particular year (2021, 2022 or 2023), and had brought the Filipino people to a greater appreciation and understanding of Philippine music and culture.
- Those who achieved excellence and empowered people in the sector, especially for traditional and contemporary music of the regions.
- Those who received accolades through positive reviews or write-ups from peers and critics and awards from local or international award-giving bodies, and refereed/featured in local and international conferences/festivals and journals/published works. And whose works have been repeatedly performed in all venues and parts of the world.
