The nomination period for the Order of National Artist Award is now open! Deadline of submission of nominations is until June 30, 2024. The Order of National Artist or Orden ng Pambansang Alagad ng Sining, is the highest national recognition given to a Filipino individual who has made significant contributions to the Philippines through their achievements in the fields of Architecture and Allied Arts, Dance, Design, Film and Broadcast Arts, Literature, Music, Theater and Visual Arts. The order is jointly administered by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and conferred by the President of the Philippines upon recommendation by both institutions. Nominations may be submitted by government and non-government cultural organizations, educational institutions, as well as private foundations and councils. Artists shall only be nominated under one category where they have made their most substantial contribution but their other merits will be added to their citation if conferred. |

- Architecture and Allied Arts – architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design
- Dance – choreography, direction, performance
- Design – industrial design, fashion design
- Film and Broadcast Arts – direction, writing, production design, cinematography, editing, animation, performance, new media
- Literature – poetry, fiction, essay, literary/art criticism
- Music – composition, direction, performance
- Theater – direction, performance, production design, light and sound design, playwriting
- Visual Arts – painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, installation art, mixed media works, illustration, graphic arts, performance art, imaging
Submission of nomination to the Order of National Artist may be in printed or electronic form to include the following supporting documents:

- A cover letter signed by the head or designated representative of the nominating organization. The cover letter shall be accompanied by a Board Resolution approving the nominee concerned with the said resolution signed by the organization President and duly certified by the Board Secretary.
- A duly accomplished notarized nomination form.
- A detailed curriculum vitae of the nominee including their address and contact details;
- A list of the nominee’s significant works categorized according to the criteria;
- The latest high-resolution photograph of the nominee, either 5”x7” (1500 x 2100 pixels) or 8”x11” (2550 x 3300 pixels);
- Video materials/documentation on the nominee’s significant works.
- Copies of published reviews;
- Any other document that be required;
- Curriculum vitae, e-mail and mobile number of a nominated Presenter who can discuss the qualifications of the nominee to the second and third deliberation panel. The nominated Presenter must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement if selected.
