As culmination of the Diwang: Sagisag Kultura ng Filipinas Competition, the last and final stage of the competition was conducted at the MICE Convention Center in Quezon City last November 22, 2024.

The competition comprised of finalists in the categories of Pagbigkas ng Tula, Balagtasan, Kundiman, and Spoken Word Poetry. Each category had a winner as well as a best performer, which were awarded by their respective judges.

Present in the competition finals were former National Commission for Culture and the Arts Chairman Felipe De Leon Jr. and with judges such as renowned author and National Artist for Literature Virgilio S. Almario among others.

Along with the competition proper, Virgilio S. Almario also launched his new book entitled “Ano Ang Demokrasya?”

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte also joined the awards ceremony to personally congratulate the winners of the competition finals.

The Sagisag Kultura program is a project spearheaded by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts for the advocacy of cultural education among Filipinos.
