The National Committee on Literary Arts (NCLA) gears for the National Arts Month 2025 celebration in February with its flagship program PANITIKaravan, a travelling literary caraven designed to bring literary arts to various communities, schools, and cultural spaces, particularly in underserved and less-visited areas.

Carrying the theme Diwa at Damdamin sa Panitikan, the caravan will highlight the rich literary traditions of each locality, province, or region it visits, bringing public lectures (Pampublikong Panayam), quick workshops (Mabilisang Palihan), and creative performances (Malikhaing Pagtatanghal).

The ‘PANITIKaravan’ is set to visit Araullo High School, DepEd Manila on February 24.

Other National Arts Month Tie-Up Events relating to the NCLA’s National Festival sites include: UP Los Banos, Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) Sentro ng Wika at Kultura Mataas na Paaralang Neptali A. Gonzales Manlilikha Launch.

The NCLA, led by the Mr. Niles Jordan D. Breis, is committed to fostering a deeper appreciation of Philippine literature and cultivating a sense of national pride among Filipino writers and readers alike.

This initiative is made possible through the unwavering support of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA). Artists, writers, educators, and literary enthusiasts are encouraged to participate and contribute to this celebration of the literary arts.

Zerrudo, Ph.D., Commissioner for the Arts Arvin Manuel Villalon, invites the public to celebrate National Arts Month (NAM), established by Presidential Proclamation 683 s. 1991, and this year bearing the theme “Ani ng Sining: Diwa at Damdamin” (Harvest of the Arts: Soul and Passion).
