The Miss Universe 2018 winner expressed her gratitude for the commission’s continued trust as it has chosen her as ambassador for the arts for the 6th year in a row. Gray has been the NCCA’s Ambassador for the Arts since January 2020.
In her speech, Gray emphasized on the importance of art and its lasting effect on the Filipino. Having said this, Gray also expressed her excitement for this year’s NAM-related projects and had hoped to see more attendees.

“I think it’s really poignant to say [that] the creation process or pursuing creativity is something that feeds the soul but also it inspires others to create other things, to be able to push what we [think] is possible. Art inspires, art uplifts,” she said.
NAM is set to kick-off with month-long activities for February across different areas in the NCR, other regions in the country, and in international locations as well.
