The Ateneo de Naga University Center for Culture and the Arts (AdNU-CCA) in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) holds CINEMAREHIYON: PASALE Year 3.
This is a 3-day Film Festival from February 2 to 4 (2015) that features film exhibitions and competitions along with lectures and forums. Pasale is a Bikol word for “show”, thus to show films and to show off in film making. Featured films in the Conference are: Iskalawags, Kinabukasan, Si El Curiosidad Mata con El Gato, and Little Azkals.
The Cinebarangay (PASALE Outreach) will feature the following films: Depths of Field, Kulakog and Oli Impan, Sarong Aldaw, No Ama Conmigo, and Si El Curiosidad Mata con El Gato. Featured films in PASALE REMOTE (UNEP) are: Otro Genesis, Tangible, Lafis ni Efung, Ang Pagpukaw sa Akong Damgo, Si El Curiosidad Mata con El Gato and Uring.
This year’s feattured filmmakers include Keith Deligero, Adolf Alix Jr., Aedrian Araojo, Kristian Cordero, Omar Aguilar, Marianito Dio Jr., Ryan Joseph Murcia, Alec Figuracion, Jordan Manua, Arnel Barbarona, and Baby Ruth Villarama
The festival has also also invited lecturers who will share their expertise: Patrick Campos of University of the Philippines (The End of National Cinema: Reflections on the Intersection of Nation and Cinema in the 21st Century), Kristian Cordero of Ateneo de Naga University (Angustia: The Director’s Uncut), Karl Ian Cheng Chua of Ateneo de Manila University (Japan Media Mix: A Formula for Success) , John Francis Bozar of Ateneo de Naga University (Motion Designing Film) and Benedick Bana of Ateneo de Naga University (Graphics Illustration as Artistic Expression and Industry Career). Noted actor Mr. Jaime Fabregas will also grace the event.
