The Spanish Document Section (SDS) and Reading Room of the National Archives of the Philippines (NAP) located at the National Library of the Philippines (NLP) Building will be closed from 1 April to 31 July 2016. 

This closure is necessary to properly implement the transfer of the SDS Collection (now a declared National Cultural Treasure) to temporary quarters. This transfer is due to the ongoing retrofitting of the NLP Building. A temporary reading room will be set-up by May 2016 at the NAP Extension Office at 1153 Cristobal St., Paco, Manila during the same period. This temporary Reading Room will serve only selected microfilms of a portion of the Spanish Documents Collection as well as digitized records of the following:

1. Asuntos Civiles
2. Asuntos Criminales
3. Unclassified Records
4. Cuerpo de Vigilancia Records
5. Museo Naval Records
