The First Rondalla Music Camp hopes to gather 100 rondalla practitioners: musicians, conductors, arrangers, composers for two weeks to undergo an intensive training on different aspects of rondalla performance and its practice in general.

After the four successful milestone events achieved by the International Rondalla Festival in the years 2004, 2007, 2011, and 2015, this important undertaking is currently focusing on enhancing the proficiency of the rondalla practitioners with a two-week intensive music camp and workshop to be held in Baguio City. Now on its 12th year, the Festival which more popularly known as the Strings of Unity Festival seeks to address the clamor for training that has been expressed by the practitioners through the years.

First of its kind, the Rondalla Music Camp hopes to gather 100 rondalla practitioners: musicians, conductors, arrangers, composers for two weeks to undergo an intensive training on different aspects of rondalla performance and its practice in general. Training and education will be offered free to the most capable rondalla musicians and practitioners here and abroad.

The Open Call therefore seeks to generate the best applicants who will be screened to become scholars.

The Rondalla Music Camp envisions to organize the very first National Rondalla Orchestra that will be composed of selected scholars of the Music Camp.
