GAPASAN Festival will be held on September 6-10, 2017 at the University of the Philippines in Los Baños, Laguna.
In cooperation with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the network of cultural organizations in Southern Tagalog dubbed Linang Arts and Culture Network, Incorporated (Linang Inc.)., launches GAPASAN National Festival and Congress on Luzon Arts and Culture. Set on September 6-10, 2017 at the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB), the event is a congregation of three creative sectors in Luzon, namely: the cultural communities, the artists and cultural workers, and the teachers and educators.
GAPASAN consists of different components which are as follows: a conference on conflict resolution among cultural communities, a festival of food in Luzon, a lecture-forum on traditional medicines and healing practices, a showcase of traditional games and sports demonstrations, performances cum interactions among and with cultural communities in Luzon, performances and exhibit of contemporary artworks, and a curriculum integration workshop
among teacher-participants.
