The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), through its National Committee on Cinema (NCC), in collaboration with the Ateneo de Naga University Center for Culture and the Arts, Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), and the city government of Naga, lead the 12th year of Cinema Rehiyon in Naga City from February 24 to 29, 2020.

With the theme “Sarong Gatos sa Sanga-sangang Dalan,” the Cinema Rehiyon pays tribute to the Centenary of Philippine Cinema dubbed as “Sine Sandaan.” Keeping the pride of the Bicol language, Cinema Rehiyon elevates the meaning of Dalan: a road that refers to the crossroads of the regions as they endeavor to showcase films; and an act of viewing which refers to film language’s point of view from the filmmakers, screenwriters, cast and crew, viewers, and critics.

On its 12th year, Cinema Rehiyon continues to gather filmmakers from the regions as it celebrates the National Arts Month and the centenary of Philippine Cinema.

Cinema Rehiyon is a platform for shaping and redefining Philippine cinema from regional perspectives, featuring narratives and nuances of filmmaking, with cinema as creative expression of cultural value and heritage.
