The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC) held a concert titled, Sama-Sama ASEAN: No One Gets Left Behind at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium in celebration of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Month this August, featuring the performances of G22, Junior New System, Monzter Jam Duo, Kare Adea, Centro Escolar University (CEU) – Folk Dance Troupe, University of the Philippines (UP) Manila Choral, Trixie Esteban, Shania Cuerpo, and Anika Zabala, and hosted by Antonette Go.

The program is a platform for the voices and expressions of the youth and women in ASEAN, their challenges, joys and aspirations, culminating in a finale suite that celebrates an inclusive community where no one gets left behind, which is the main objective of the Sama-Sama ASEAN.

Throughout the years, Sama-Sama ASEAN has become the medium to celebrate ASEAN Month by virtue of Presidential Proclamation no. 282 signed in 2017 that aims to further promote and heighten awareness of the ASEAN and instill in the minds of the Filipino people the importance, value, and meaning of ASEAN in achieving and maintaining regional peace and sustainable development.
