In line with Presidential Proclamation No. 479, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), in partnership with the Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc., celebrated Values Month 2024 by organizing the two-day Balay Pinoy School Caravan. The event was held on November 14 and 15, 2024, at Pedro Guevara Elementary School in Manila and Jose Rizal Elementary School in Pasay City.

Hosted by Marlo Mortel, the Balay Pinoy Caravan aimed to foster a trustworthy and resilient society by promoting key Filipino values identified in collaboration with the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) as part of the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022.

NCCA Deputy Executive Director Marichu Tellano, DepEd Assistant Regional Director Cristio A. Eco, and CEST VI Joel Torrecampo, along with school heads, teachers, and students, graced the event. The program featured performances by Daniel Paringit, Kuya Ony Carcamo, and the Tanghalang Bagong Sibol Dance Troupe.

Adding excitement to the celebration, Heneral Tuna, the beloved animated character from the NCCA’s Filipino values series, entertained the students with his lively presence and inspiring messages.

The Values Month 2024 celebration will culminate with Balay Pinoy’s final stop in Capiz this December.
