I. RATIONALE
The month of October is Museums and Galleries Month (MGM) by virtue of Presidential Proclamation no. 798, s. 1991, in recognition of the need to evoke national consciousness and pride in our rich heritage and national identity, expressed in all media of arts and culture, including historical and religious artifacts. In accordance with the proclamation, the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) spearheads the implementation of MGM led by its Subcommission on Cultural Heritage. In light of the national celebration of MGM 2025, the NCCA is conducting the MGM 2025 DPC. This competition will serve as an avenue for amateur digital artists to transcend their artistic prowess to a greater number of audiences by getting the chance to have their work be the official poster of the upcoming 2025 MGM celebration.
