  3.  Assist in reviewing all requests by the Contractor for contract time extension and determining whether such requests are justified and the amount of such extension, for approval by the Procuring Entity.
  4. Conduct of review and recommendations for the different discipline works for implementation, variation orders, and coordination as well as cost estimates on the following discipline and its relevant links in the project.
  5. Determining and recommending any suspension of work, or any part thereof, that may be necessary including the financial and other implications of such work suspension.

The Senior Construction Manager shall render assist in the construction management, supervision, and monitoring of the performance of the Contractor in the implementation of the Project and to ensure that the works are executed in accordance and in compliance with the approved designs, plans, and specifications, and are completed within the framework of the contract.

The tasks of the Construction Management Services shall include but not be limited to the following:

  1. Review and preparation of materials attached to the instructions to the Contractor and supervising the construction in accordance with the directives of the NCCA Project Management Office.
  2. Issuing all certificates for payment to the Contractor and other certificates as required by the Construction Contract.
  3. Inspecting and testing the construction materials on site as necessary.
  4. Rendering expert advice regarding disputes arising between the Procuring Entity and the Contractor in connection with, or arising out of, the construction contract or the execution of the works.
  5. Determines and prepares the variation orders regarding variations of the forms, quality of the works, or any part thereof that may be necessary and appropriate, including the valuation of such variation orders, for approval by the Procuring Entity.
  6. Reviewing all requests by the Contractor for contract time extension and determining whether such requests are justified and the amount of such extension, for approval by the Procuring Entity.
