- LGU CULTURAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
For the past years, the National Committee on Dance has supported LGU initiated festivals in the hope of building partnership with the LGUs and assist in the development of local cultural programs. For 2015, the NCD created the LGU Cultural Assistance Program with the aim of enriching existing cultural activities of the LGUs. The garant may be given to any cultural activities of the LGU where dance will be a component and may include festivals provided these festivals will highlight the local culture and pride of the city or municipality. The activity must also indicate the potential gain in the local economy through arts, specifically dance.
Qualification of the Proponent:
1) LGU-based or supported Arts Councils or Foundations or Local Government Units
2) Track record in implementing arts activities
3) can provide counterpart to NCCA assistance
4) able to mobilize audience
5) capacity to sustain the festival or other cultural activities
Requirements for Submission:
1) Complete Proponent Eligibility Requirements (contact NCCA Eligibility & Grants Processing Unit at 527-2192 loc 510)
2) Complete project proposal with detailed line-item budget, schedule of activities and work and financial plan, duly signed by the proponent on each proposal page
3) Video and photo documentation of the festival or other cultural activities of the city or municipality
Criteria for evaluation of the proposals:
The project proposal must be able to indicate the following:
1) Priority will be from provinces with high poverty magnitude
2) Capability building for organizers (festival management workshop, dance workshop, etc)
3) Cultural basis of the festival (Local icon to promote the pride of place and sense of nationhood of the province, city or municipality)
4) Involvement of the local artists in the event (provide list)
5) Integration of the recognition of outstanding local artists in the program/ event (Gawad para sa local artists)
6) Integration of cultural programs in the LGU development plans
7) Must be open to intervention of NCCA through the festival management and dance workshops
Budget per project: P 150, 000 (Provincial wide); P 100, 000 (City/Municipality wide)
Slots open for application: 3- provincial wide (1 for each island cluster *L,V,M); 8- city/municipality wide (2 each for Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and NCR)

- DANCE PRODUCTION/COLLABORATION GRANT (new works)
Dance as performing art has to be staged for better appreciation of its value as a creative work. The National Committee on Dance continues to support production of dance concerts and performances to provide opportunity for dance companies and choreographers to create new works which promote Philippine icons.
Qualification of the Proponent:
1) Non-Government Organization/Government Agencies
2) Performing Arts Companies/Schools
3) Track record in implementing arts activities
4) Can provide counterpart to NCCA assistance
5) Able to mobilize audience
Requirements for Submission:

5) Proposal that includes description of locality, programming, strategy for mobilization of audience, strategies for sustainability
6) Synopsis/repertoire of the production
Criteria for evaluation of the proposals:
1) Priority given to new Filipino themed works
2) artistic level of the performing group and/or the artistic director
3) accessibility of the performance venue to the public

- DANCE COMPETITION
The National Committee on Dance recognizes the potential of dance competitions to discover new talents and toprovide them the needed exposure, and experience to explore their potentials. Competitions give recognition to the artistic excellence of the advance groups, and challenge them to push themselves further. The local competitions had also been venues for dance groups to prepare for international dance competitions.
Qualification of the Proponent:
1) Non-Government Organizations/ Government Agencies, Arts Councils, educational institutions and associations
2) track record in implementing culture and arts activities
3) has capacity to provide facilities for dance competition (stage, light, sound, dressing rooms)
4) can provide counterpart to NCCA assistance
5) able to mobilize audience and can provide accommodation to huge numbers of competitors/ participants
Requirements for submission:
1) Complete Proponent Eligibility Requirements (contact NCCA Eligibility & Grants Processing Unit at 527-2192 loc 510)
2) Complete project proposal with detailed line-item budget, schedule of activities and work and financial plan, duly signed by the proponent on each proposal page

Criteria for evaluation of proposals:
1) must have at least ten (10) competitors in the competition
2) open to all dance forms
3) Indicate clear intention and direction of the competition
4) provide opportunity to discover new and emerging dancers and dance groups
5) venue must be accessible for the participants and audience
6) allow active involvement of the NCD in the program

- NCCA DANCE SEASON
As more and more Filipino dance artists from the different dance genres (folk, ballet, modern/contemporary, ballroom, hip-hop, jazz, etc) emerge and are discovered especially from the different provinces and regions of the country, the NCD recognizes the importance and need of providing a venue to exhibit, hone and nurture their talents and creativity towards artistic excellence.
Qualification of the Proponent:
1) Local Government Unit or Non-Government Organization
2) track record in implementing arts activities
3) capacity to provide facilities for dance performances (stage, light, sound, dressing room)
4) can provide counterpart to NCCA assistance
5) able to mobilize audience
Requirements for submission:
1) Regular requirements of NCCA (refer to proposal form)
2) profile of performing groups and artistic directors
3) sample videos/ photos of the groups and photos of the performance venue
4) full project proposal that includes description of locality
5) programming, strategy for mobilization of audience
6) strategies for sustainability
7) detailed line-item budget
Criteria for evaluation of the proposals:
1) Priority are provinces that are vulnerable to disasters
2) Must provide audiences with program information
3) artistic quality of the performing groups
4) involves at least 5-10 performing groups
5) performance series should be completed within a period of 2-3 months
6) repertoire can be folk dance, ballet, contemporary, jazz, ballroom/dancesport, hiphop or flamenco

- RESOURCE MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT IN DANCE
There is dearth of available resource materials for dance for use of teachers, trainers, choreographers, dance educators, and researchers. The NCD opens opportunities for the development of resource materials in Dance to facilitate and make more effective the teaching and learning processes in dance. NCD encourages the development of all forms of resource materials in dance – print, video, multi-media, among others.
Qualification of the Proponent:
1) Open to individuals, NGOs, LGUs, SUCs, or Public Schools with counterpart funding, with no ongoing projects or outstanding unliquidated fund with the NCCA
Requirements for submission:
1) Full project proposal with detailed line-item budget and schedule of activities
2) CV of proponent/researcher with past accomplishments related to research and/or publication
3) Research fundamentals (abstract of research, review of related literature, outline of research, conceptual framework, and research design/ methodology
4) Two (2) recommendation letters from established cultural organizations/ institutions
5) Compliance with the Proponent Eligibility Requirements (refer to proposal form)
Criteria for evaluation:
1) The Researcher must have a track record in the field of dance
