The Association of Cultural Offices of Philippine Educational Institutions, Inc. (ACOPEI, Inc.) will be having its 5th National Conference with the theme: “ARTSPECTIVES: New Prospects and Perspectives in Culture and Arts Programming in the Academe” on July 9-11, 2015 in De La Salle Lipa, Lipa, Batangas City.

This three-day conference aims to share the insights from various culture and arts luminaries and experts in the country on how to strengthen the teaching of culture and arts in the academe –the kind that goes beyond classrooms and transforms into a life-long appreciation of their own culture and the Filipino artistic talent. Invite speakers are Dr. Ramon Santos, National Artist for Music; Ambassador Wilfredo Villacorta, Former Permanent Phil. Representative to ASEAN; Ms. Emily Abrera, Chair of the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Board of Trustees; Dir. Elmer Talavera, Executive Director of TESDA, Mr. Benjamin Abadiano of PAMULAAN Center, and invited guests from various schools in the country known for their creative campus practices. There will also be a cultural tour to the famous heritage towns and ancestral houses in the province of Batangas; workshops on Batangueno art; paper, posters and workshop presentations from the delegates.
The Association of Cultural Offices of Philippine Educational Institutions, Inc. (ACOPEI, Inc.) is a national non-stock, non-profit organization of cultural officers of academic institutions, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the promotion of culture among students in the Philippines. It aims to be a potent instrument through which cultural artistic programs in campus can be enhanced and cultural officers can develop and improve their competencies. For the past four years, we have hosted four successful national conferences.
