To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of SEAMEO in 2015, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Secretariat, in partnership with the 21 SEAMEO Regional Centres, have jointly developed the SEAMEO 50×3 Schools’ Network – a network to promote sharing and development between schools across Southeast Asia.
The SEAMEO 50×3 Schools’ Network will provide great opportunities and help schools to develop partnerships, exchange teachers and students, share practices, participate in SEAMEO programmes, obtain scholarships and grants, and improve teachers and students’ capacity through various programmes and training activities developed by SEAMEO.
All primary, secondary and vocational Schools in 11 Southeast Asian countries* are invited to submit an application and participate in the SEAMEO 50×3 Schools’ Network. There is no registration fee for joining this Network.
ONLY 50 primary schools, 50 secondary schools, and 50 vocational and technical schools will be selected for the 2015 programme.

SEAMEO also would like your schools to participate in the following contests/awards. A school can participate more than 1 activity and no registration fee.
1) SEAMEO-Japan ESD Award (Theme: Safeguarding Cultural Traditions) – Deadline to submit the information of school activity related to the theme is 4 September.
2) SEAMEO Song Angklung Contest – There are 2 categories of this contest 1) Traditional Angklung Performance and 2) Digital Angklung Performance by using mobile phone. The deadline to submit the video of Angklung performance is 30 September.
3) SEAMEO Cultural Week – We invite schools to submit the video of students performing cultural heritage such as song, dance, cooking traditional dish, storytelling and etc. The deadline to submit the video entry form is 31 Aug and deadline to submit video is 30 Sept.
