1. REGIONAL CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP

Qualification of the Proponent: Open to NGOs, LGUs, SUCs, or Public Schools with counterpart funding and with no ongoing projects/outstanding unliquidated fund with the NCCA.

Requirements for submission:
[1]  Complete Proponent Eligibility Requirements (contact NCCA Eligibility & Grant Processing Unit at 527-2192 loc 510);
[2]  Complete project proposal with detailed line-item budget, schedule of activities, and work and financial plan duly signed by the Proponent on each proposal page;
[3]  List and profile of panelists;
[4]  Detailed program of activities and/or modules;
[5]  Number of fellows to be accepted;
[6]  Criteria for the selection of fellows; and
[7]  List and profile of the screening committee.

Criteria for evaluation of the proposals: Thematic – creative writing workshop on disasters, governance, peace, environment, regional literature, and/or featuring regional icons; Participated in by at least 15 fellows, majority of whom are region-based; Participation of at least five (5) representatives from the LGUs, NGOs, and teachers as observers; Render outreach/ literary performance outside of the session; At most 5 teaching staff, majority should come from the regions; Encourage the study of regional literary forms; Utilize the regional languages of the regions, aside from Filipino and English.

  1. NATIONAL WRITERS WORKSHOP

Qualification of the Proponent: Open to NGOs, SUCs, or academic institutions handling writers workshop for more than ten (10) years; With counterpart funding and with no ongoing projects/outstanding unliquidated fund with the NCCA.

Requirements for submission:
[1]  Complete Proponent Eligibility Requirements (contact NCCA Eligibility & Grant Processing Unit at 527-2192 loc 510);
[2]  Complete project proposal with detailed line-item budget, schedule of activities, and work and financial plan duly signed by the Proponent on each proposal page;
[3]  List and profile of panelists;
[4]  Detailed program of activities and/or modules;
[5]  Number of fellows to be accepted;
[6]  Criteria for the selection of fellows; and
[7]  List and profile of the screening committee.

Criteria for evaluation of the proposals: Participated in by at least 15 fellows, with at least 2 fellows each from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao as point of origin; Participation of at least five (5) representatives from the LGUs, NGOs, and teachers as observers; Render outreach/ literary performance outside of the session; At most 5 teaching staff, majority should come from the regions; Encourage the study of regional literary forms; Utilize the regional languages of the regions, aside from Filipino and English.

  1. TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR TRANSLATION

Qualification of the Proponent: Open to NGOs, SUCs, or Public Schools with counterpart funding and with no ongoing projects/outstanding unliquidated fund with the NCCA.

Requirements for submission:

  1. PUBLICATION OF LITERARY WORKS WITH TRANSLATION

Qualification of the Proponent: Open to individuals, NGOs, LGUs, SUCs, or Public Schools with counterpart funding and with no ongoing projects/outstanding unliquidated fund with the NCCA.

Requirements for submission:
[1]   Complete Proponent Eligibility Requirements (contact NCCA Eligibility & Grant Processing Unit at 527-2192 loc 510);
[2]   Complete project proposal with detailed line-item budget, schedule of activities, and work and financial plan duly signed by the Proponent on each proposal page;
[3]   Synopsis;
[4]   Three (3) copy sets of final manuscript;
[5]   Three (3) printing quotations from publishing houses/ printers; and
[6]   Propose distribution and marketing scheme.

Criteria for evaluation of the proposals: Manuscripts will undergo evaluations by the three (3) readers; At least 200-300 pages ready to print for 1,000 copies; The editor should have a critical preface articulating the poetics used as frame of reference in the editorial choices of the literary pieces included in the anthology; There should be a critical introduction.

  1. LITERARY COMPETITIONS

Qualification of the Proponent: Open to NGOs, NGAs, LGUs, SUCs, or Public Schools with counterpart funding and with no ongoing projects/outstanding unliquidated fund with the NCCA.

Requirements for submission:

[2]  Complete project proposal with detailed line-item budget, schedule of activities, and work and financial plan duly signed by the Proponent on each proposal page;
[3]  Detailed program of activities;
[4]  Mechanics/ guidelines/ criteria of the competition; and
[5]  List and profile of judges and selection committee.

Criteria for evaluation of the proposals: At least 15 entries/ participants, majority are region-based; Encourage the study of regional literary forms;  Utilization of regional languages, aside from Filipino and English; Any Proponent who has a track record in implementing literary arts activities, able to mobilize audience,  and has a wide range of literary arts network.
