MISO 05.28.2015

The Manila Studies Association, Inc., will hold its 24th Annual Conference on August 27-28, 2015 at The Cinema, 12th floor, School of Design and Arts Campus, De La Salle – College of St. Benilde, 950 P. Ocampo Street (formerly Vito Cruz Street), Malate, Manila.

This year, MSA is commemorating the liberation of Manila from the Japanese Occupation of the Philippines on March 4, 1945. The war in the Pacific ended with Japan’s formal surrender on September 2, 1945. The Conference is co-sponsored with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts – Committee on Historical Research and the Philippine National Historical Society, and will present papers on Manila studies highlighting various aspects of Manila’s history and culture, as well as studies on national history which interface in Manila’s historical development.

The conference sharing fee is P2,500.00.[MSA Members are entitled to a 10% discount on the registration fee and Manila publications.] Participants will be provided with a conference kit to include the Book of Abstracts and Conference Program, CD of abstracts and conference papers, complimentary MSA publication, and lunch and two meriendas for the two days of the conference.
