ABOUT THE CONFERENCE International Conference on Dance Research 2020 is a platform for academic discourse on various researches on dance relating to the current social, cultural, political and environmental situations. ICDR is one of the component activities of Dance Xchange: The Philippine International Dance Festival. ICDR 2020 hopes to bring together leading academic researchers and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research results on dance and its value to culture, society and on the different societal issues. It also provides a venue for interdisciplinary discussion for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the recent trends and concerns as well as challenges encountered and solutions adopted in dance education and practice. Objectives of the ICDR 2020 ICDR 2020 welcomes scholarly submissions from the discipline of dance and other cultural and social disciplines that highlight the multidimensional concerns on the role of dance in culture and society. It aims to bring together individual willing to take risks and confront conventional modes of practice and go beyond normative boundaries. In this conference we want to highlight the power of dance in society and in the lives of people. Specifically, the ICDR would address the following questions:
