Philippine Association for the Study of Culture, History and Religion, (PASCHR) in partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) under its Program on Culture and National Identity, conducts the First International Conference at the Isabela State University, Cauayan City, Isabela, on January 28-30 2015, bearing the theme “Reaffirming the Identity of Asia in Culture, History and Religion.”

In preparation for the 2015 ASEAN Integration, the conference aims to uphold the identity of each ASEAN country and strengthen their respective culture, history and religion through academic and cultural exchanges. The conference will present the characteristics of the ASEAN region in terms of language and literature, cultural songs and dances, architecture and engineering, religion’s rights and rituals, colonial history healing practices and social organization.

The two-day conference will be participated in by Filipino and foreign educators, researchers, historians from academic institutions. A call for paper presentations was conducted October of 2014 and an Early-Bird Registration was held in November 30, 2014.

For interested participants who were unable to register earlier, an on-site registration happens on January 28, 2014 which amounts to 4,000 pesos.

PASCHR is established in the Philippines uunder umbrellaof the regional organization South and Southeast Asian Association for the Study of Religion and Culture (SSEASR) based in New Delhi.
